Yo lovelies,
So the time has come for the Cosmo Blog Awards again and I thought this time I'd have a little go myself. I've been writing this blog for roughly a year now and it's grown from being my little baby to a sort of naughty toddler! Annnnnyway, if you like reading my little blog then I'd be really grateful if you could vote for it as a "Lifestyle Blog" on the Cosmo website.

Let's Graze

Evening lovelies.
Today's post has a little health kick to it. Being 20, I'm still only growing into my body and tackling the womanly shape that nature has deemed mine for the rest of my life, so staying healthy and looking after myself is proving oddly difficult. As I grow day by day, I find out different things that my body like and dislikes. For example, it seems the days of my youth where I used to fill myself with endless bowls of pasta And home cooked bread has left my body feeling a bit sorry for itself. Nowadays, the smallest slice of soft white bread leaves me bloated and in agony so sadly I've had to cut back on the amount I eat a week, which is very hard when your whole family are bakers! I've also learnt that my hips love holding onto food ( a lot) and those chubby thighs I had as a teenager have now become thunders thighs as an adult. I do love my body though ( if I don't, then why would anyone else) so I do try and make sure i eat what I know won't leave me on pain the day after. Although this is a lot harder than it sounds when you are a snacker like me! For this reason, I always make sure I have some fruit in the house so that I always have something healthy to tempt me away from the chocolate buttons that always seem to be in my fridge.
So, when I heard about the Graze Box in Company Magazine, I jumped at the chance to make use of their promotional free box offer. Graze.com is a fantastic website which delivers you a healthy graze box one a week or fortnight. You can "like" "love" or "try" some of their selections on their website and then look forward your healthy surprise when it knocks on your door that week. You have the choice of four boxes: nibblebox, eatwellbox, lightbox or boostbox depending on your personal choice and then Graze kindly shows you what time of foods you can expect.
I have go say, I am very impressed with my first graze box which consisted of seeded granola, shangri-la, the herb garden and some yummy cherry tomato basil and pesto focaccia. All of which are incredibly delicious and good for my fussy stomach! They even tell you which treats are full of fibre, iron or other vitamins or which have the lowest calories. So after my first graze box, I can happily say I'm going to be trying another one.
I think it will soon become a fashionista hit as it provides the perfect office lunch snack box for those girls who are constantly on the go. I can even see it making an appearance at Fashion Week ;)

Because I want you all to try a box, I have a free box code for one reader. Simply comment and RT my blog on twitter and I'll pick a random person.

Or pop over to Graze.com and try it for yourself!

She Wore

First instalment of "She Wore He Wore" today so I thought I'd start with me!
Today I'm working so I've opted for casual print trousers with a classic black T. I love these trousers! Tres comfy and über on trend! I think this summer, patterned trousers will definitely be my "thing".

Top: h&m
Trousers: Primark ( last season)
Shoes: Topshop

Give me studs in my heart.

With festival season fast approaching, that perfect pair of jeans that everyone searches the globe for turns into that perfect pair of denim shorts, and this year the high street is bursting with bold, brights and yes, STUDS!
I have to admit, I wore quite a few studded items during my youth ( ha, I'm, only 20) and loved added that edginess that they bring to an outfit. Whether it was my classic studded belt or my high street copycat designer bag, I was never seen much without them. So, when I saw that they had made a comeback to our high street faves, I fell in love all over again!
Studded shorts are huge this season, so be prepared to see them everywhere you go. They are perfect for those of you who love dressing a bit grungey or rock chic eqsue, offering that classic masculinity to any outfit. However, personally, I love wearing them with a feminine top or floral patterns as they offer the perfect mix of femininity and edge. Here's some of my personal favourites:

1. Topshop £75
2. Topshop £35
3. Missguided £29.99
4. River Island £35

if i only knew your name i'd go from door to door

Nail art is pretty big right now and with the dreary weather stopping us from wearing our summer brights, it's no surprise that we are turning our nails into little palettes of colour and fun. I thought I'd have a little go myself this evening. Say hello to sequin esque talons!

Internship, please?

Today has been day one of "Oh my, i have really finished Uni" kinda days and I've really gone into
Job/internship overdrive. I've spent the best part of this lovely afternoon
( yes Wales is sunny for once) looking for something media related that will not only bring in some post graduate fund money but will also give my career a little boost. I've decided that I would love to do another internship, so I've created my new LinkedIn account and starting looking for some paid work.
I've been an intern many times before, ranging from Media Wales to LOOK magazine and love the feeling you get when you become part of a well established and hardworking team. At LOOK, I fuelled my love for all things fashion and helped out on a number of published articles. I spent my days admiring the clothes on the journos and throwing myself into every possible task. I know how important it is to be enthusiastic and willing during these experiences so I always make sure I give 100% and learn as much as I can.
This time round, I'm hoping to move a step closer to a full time job by searching for a paid position. Now, for those of you who read my blog regularly, you would have seen my post on internships and how most of them are essentially unpaid experiences. However after years of working for free, I think now is the time to step up the ladder!
I shall let you all know how this plan pans out! Fingers crossed ey ;)

Tonight, We Are Young

Spending time with lovely people, in lovely places, drinking lovely tea out of lovely teapots. This week has been one of my lasts living in Cardiff. It's been a pretty normal week but because of the looming thought that all this could be over soon, it's been a week full of "capture the moment" picture urm... Moments? I've been snap happy. I suppose my recent purchase of a new iPhone (thank you mammy) and my discovery of instagram haven't really helped! Anyway, here's some of my faves xx

She wears He wears

Hello lovely people. I've got a new little feature that I'm going to be bringing to fashion by mimi. For a long time I've been aware of the appeal of street style posts but I've never felt like I dress stylishly enough for daily posts about my outfit. So, I've come up with She wears. He wears which will photograph my friends and family as street stylers. I happen to have two very stylish younger brothers and I think it would be quite interesting to post pics of both girls and guys that I think are quite fashionable. Yes, yours truly may feature on there now and again but as I am more one for taking the pictures and writing the article, it will probably mainly consist on others.
I also thought that maybe you guys could get involved and send in some of your street style pics?

 So, share your thoughts lovelies.

Essays, Essays and more essays

Yes, it's happened. I have finally been suffocated by the burden of the University essay. Today has been absolute hell. I'm sure you've all been there. That one essay that has no beginning and definitely no end. The one that leaves you procrastinating like you've never procrastinated before! I've made notes about the essay, notes about the notes and notes about making notes and I've finally hit the huge sized wall in front of me.
However, with this endless writing, comes a sad humble feeling that all of this, all of this essay writing, the lectures, the seminars: they're all ending. I will never have a 9am Wednesday lecture again and I will never have to write about Global Post Colonialism again.
It also means that I have to move out of the lovely flat that I have called home for the last year. My gorgeous red leather sofa and underfloor heating. It will all be gone in a matter of weeks and I'm dreading it. I'm dreading it because, for the first time in my life, I have no idea what it next. There's no GCSEs to pass, or A-levels to struggle with. No UCAS forms or Halls to pick. No results days. No Uni. Just nothing.
I don't know whether I'm excited or scared. I don't know if I'm ready. I guess I have to be. Now is the time to face that big bad world that you were told about as a kid and finally become one of those boring "grown up" thingeys. Wish me luck!
